The Witch by Jessica

“Quick they will find us, let’s hide in the dark and dingy woods.” Commanded the man. “Hurry in here, shhh we have to be quiet, they will find us.”

“I know you are here, come out, come out,” the witch whispered softly, “hahaha!, I’m not going to hurt you I just want you for dinner mahaha!”

“RUN!” shouted the terrified man and woman! “Ahhhhhh!”

“She has got my leg; just go on without me; just go.”

“I’m not leaving you, let go of her you wrinkly hag.”

Remembrance by Jafna

Remembrance Day started many years ago on the night of the war.

Long ago there was World War One that started in August 1914, this was when Britain declared war on Germany. Millions of people fought and many died.

Remembrance Day was created to remember those who lost their life due to this. On 11th November we remember them all, whether they died or whether they survived. They died on a battle field full of poppies that is why we wear poppies on the 11th of November, so that we remember them. Remembrance day is to remember them so remember.

Rembering by Harry and Jamie

Remembering is one of those days when we remember the loving people who risked their life’s fighting for are country. We were the poppies for the people that died who risked their lives for us. We say thank you to those who die as a hero to our country.

Down the valley a school was celebrating Remembrance Day.

“Now children we are learning about Remembrance “the Teacher exclaimed.

“But miss their dead, and why would we want to learn about dead people” wined William.

“Because they died in honour” replied the Teacher

“Oh” said William

While the teacher was talking Sally spotted something glittering in the sun she zipped outside.

“What’s this? I better show it to my teacher” she whispered to herself

Once she got inside she showed her teacher.

“What’s this?” Sally asked

“It’s a poppy so you won’t forget R day.”

A Time to Remember by Heather

It’s a time to remember,

As it’s that day in November,

Where we have silence and poppies and thoughts for the dead,

We thank all of the people that have gone out to war,

We thank them all

We grieve over the heroic dead

And the brave men and women who have given up their lives

All for queen and country

Some are fighting at this moment just to keep us safe

We all have our fingers crossed that we will welcome them all back to home sweet home

It’s a time to remember

As it’s that day in November

As I hopped through the graveyard with my one good leg I started to remember how I got there, trying to die.

I remembered that I was taking a walk with my little sister Elise, picking prestigious poppies for the soldiers. Suddenly we’re surrounded by them, two different teams, waiting to fire.

“RUN!” I shouted to her, but she was frozen with fear, I didn’t know how to help. Soon it was too late, she was lying dead on the ground and I was shot in the leg. The surgeons came to save me. As soon as I was allowed out I went straight to the graveyard and here I am now, about to hang myself.

Hello, Elise.

WWI by James

One day a war between Pearl Harbour was made into a world war. Things got tough for America, things got crazy like a hell hound prison. Thousands of people died in the war and only a couple of people survived. That’s why we have Remembrance Day every year on the same day when the war ended. It is sad for a family to die but sometimes you have to sacrifice your love ones for the people of the country. Tens of thousands of families died during those years, now they will have eternal life and will never be forgotten.
